Domains
Domains are your website’s address on the internet, and this section explains everything about registering, transferring, and managing them. You’ll learn how to update DNS records, use WHOIS lookup, and ensure your domain is properly connected to your website. These basics are essential for a professional online presence.
How to register a domain?
Since online purchasing is not enabled yet, domain registration is handled directly by the Mudeef team to ensure accuracy and proper configuration.
Send us the domain name you want through the Contact Form, email, or phone.
Our team checks real-time availability and confirms whether the name can be registered.
If the domain is already taken, we suggest close alternatives (different extensions, spelling variations, or branding options).
Once approved, we complete the registration manually through our registrar.
The domain is immediately configured to point to your hosting, email, or services if required.
You receive confirmation along with ownership and management details.
This process avoids common mistakes like incorrect registration data or disconnected DNS settings.
How to transfer a domain?
If your domain is currently registered elsewhere and you want Mudeef to manage it:
Contact us with your domain name.
Log in to your current provider and unlock the domain for transfer.
Request the Authorization Code (EPP Code) from your provider.
Send the code to our team securely.
We initiate the transfer and monitor the process to ensure there is no downtime.
After completion, we reconfigure DNS, hosting links, and email routing if needed.
Transfers typically take a few hours to a few days depending on the previous registrar.
How to change nameservers?
Nameservers decide which server controls your domain services.
Provide us with the domain name and the new nameservers you want to use.
We update them at the registrar level.
The change begins propagating worldwide.
During propagation (usually 1–24 hours), some users may still reach the old server.
Once complete, all traffic resolves to the new configuration.
We monitor propagation to confirm everything resolves correctly.
What is DNS?
DNS (Domain Name System) is the system that connects your domain to its actual services.
Think of DNS as the translator between:
Human-friendly domain names (yourcompany.com)
Server addresses (IP numbers that computers use)
DNS controls:
• Where your website loads from
• Where your email is delivered
• How subdomains behave
• Verification for security services
• External integrations
Incorrect DNS setup is one of the most common causes of downtime, which is why we manage it carefully.
How to manage DNS records?
DNS records define how different services operate under your domain.
When you request DNS changes, we handle configuration such as:
A Record → Points the domain to your hosting server
MX Record → Routes incoming email correctly
TXT Record → Used for verification and email security (SPF/DKIM)
CNAME → Links subdomains to services like portals or cloud apps
SRV → Used for specialized service routing
To make a change:
Send us the required record details.
Our engineers validate the format to prevent errors.
Records are added or updated.
We verify propagation and functionality.
This prevents issues like email failures or broken website connections.
How to use WHOIS lookup?
WHOIS Lookup checks the public registration status of a domain.
Through Mudeef, you can request a WHOIS check to:
• See if a domain is available
• View expiration date of an existing domain
• Confirm registrar information
• Evaluate whether a domain may be transferable
• Plan acquisition of a name before launching a project
Simply send us the domain you want to check, and we provide a full status report along with next-step options if registration or transfer is possible.
